Time traveling

The other day a neighbor shared these old photos of what our building used to look like years and years ago. We live in what was once a chair and wood carving factory … that he says used to supply the world with Schwinn bicycles and Lincoln Logs [Ed: I couldn’t confirm those facts, but it seemed too neat not to include]! How cool. I couldn’t get enough of these photos. The building looks almost exactly the same and it’s so strange that it’s now filled with condos. Can you believe it? I wish I could have seen it back in the day. You can read more here.

The shipping and receiving garage in the top photo is now an alley where I park my car!

Crazy cool hotels

I’m not one to notice awesome, innovative architecture when it comes to hotels. Usually I’m fine with a clean bathroom, comfy bed, AC and a TV. And free continental breakfast, of course. But when I saw photos from some really sweet hotels around the world, I couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to stay in some of them.
