Last weekend Josh and I trekked up to the North Woods of Wisconsin for a college friend’s wedding. Nestled in a town called Trego (population < 1,000), we stayed at the Heartwood Conference Center and Resort. The 6.5 hour drive was long–so long–but it was fun to see a part of Wisconsin that neither of us were familiar with. The wedding was gorgeous and it was so sweet to see a friend so happy.
Coming back to Chicago though, was pretty dang nice too. While at times this city can get a bad rap, I love it and am grateful to be exposed to such diverse neighborhoods and culture every single day.
