Black and white Fridays

Grill and bar at Wrigley Field in the 1930s (image)
With baseball in full swing by now, I stumbled across this photo of Wrigley Field from 1938, in honor of 100 years of Wrigley Field.

(Photo from the Chicago Tribune’s Wrigley 100 photo series)

Black and white Fridays

black-and-white-wedding
Last week I posted an old photo of my gram, and this week I have another. This time with my grandpa on their wedding day. I can’t help but think how rad it would have been there on that day (the fact that I didn’t yet exist notwithstanding).

One of my most favorite photos. Ever. My grandma lounging at the pool. Black and white photos just make everything look so much more glamorous.

Black and white Fridays

friday-two
Last week I introduced the first black and white photo in my new series. I’ve had so much fun scouring the Internet looking for such vintage photos and I hope you’re just as excited to take a peek:) Happy Friday!

Black and white Fridays

friday-one
I’ve said over and over (and over) how much I love old black and white photos. I just can’t get enough. Even though we live in an information age, the fact that I work in a digital field and am dependent on my iPhone, and not to mention this here blog (a product of the so-called digital age), I still sometimes think I was meant to live in a different era. So in that vein, every Friday I’d love to share some of my favorite black and white photos I’ve found.
