Over the past week or so, Chick has been an avid user of the CTA, riding along on the El train like she’s been doing it for years. Continue reading
Last week I posted an old photo of my gram, and this week I have another. This time with my grandpa on their wedding day. I can’t help but think how rad it would have been there on that day (the fact that I didn’t yet exist notwithstanding).

A few weeks ago One Tail at a Time was the featured charity at Filoni’s annual spring gathering. Filoni is an artisan inspired clothing and accessories boutique in downtown Oak Park and Chick and I were lucky enough to be the featured guests at their event. Ten percent of all sales from the evening were donated to OTAT and it was so much fun to chat with the lovely ladies in attendance, all who had rescue dogs of their own. It was not so lovely, however, when Chick grumbled at one of those attendees. She sure is a snot sometimes.
(PS you must go to Maya del Sol, also in Oak Park:)

Even though you wouldn’t know it by the weather we had yesterday and today (snow in April, NBD), this past weekend was warm and filled with so much sunshine. So naturally that meant people decided to start setting off fireworks, which Chick sure did not appreciate. Warm weather also meant a bath for her, which she also did not enjoy. So I guess to sum it up, it was a nice weekend, but not for poor Chick:)
