Olympic pups

The best part about being off this week (aside from hanging out with little Chick) has been watching the Olympics. All day. Every day. It’s been such an emotional ride just watching and I’m pretty excited that there’s still a whole week left. So when I discovered that some of my favorite Olympic athletes love dogs, I was pretty pumped. Jordyn Wieber and Ryan Lochte, two athletes that I’ve been following all week, are huge dog lovers. Pretty neat.

PS: more Olympic photos.

Do you watch the Olympics? If so, what’s your favorite event? I love them all, but I’m partial to swimming, beach volleyball and gymnastics :)

Not so much

I’m not into baseball so much (as seen here), but it’s no secret that I love a good vintage photo so as I was waiting for two pesky Cubs tickets to arrive in the mail, I came across these old school photos of Comiskey Park (U.S. Cellular Field). My favorite is the one above with Al Capone.

Best Olympic commercial ever

Every commercial I see for the upcoming Summer Olympics gets me more and more pumped. For someone who usually has zero patience for watching sports, I absolutely love the Olympics. So when I watched this video from Procter & Gamble (who happens to be a sponsor), I actually got a little teary eyed. Gahh, I can’t wait for them to start!

Wrigley Field

Josh and I went to Wrigley Field earlier this week to watch the Cubs play the Brewers. It was an evening game so the weather was chilly and we had to cave to purchase the $3.50 hot chocolate they were selling (I had to forsake my coveted nachos for this!). Even though I tend to think baseball games last far too long and the environment surrounding Wrigley Field can be a bit too “drunken debauchery” the history behind the stadium is hard to resist. Of course, the Brewers won, and I realized I do not know one single player on the Cubs team. Woops.
