I came across these photos several weeks ago, and was instantly charmed. I’m always drawn to black and white or old, vintage photos and this was no exception. I’ve wanted to live in Chicago for forever (hello, suburbanite), and will be the first to sing its praises (as well as faults), but there’s something about New York City that just doesn’t compare. I would give anything to go back in time.

I could not agree more. I would even like to go back to the 1960’s when I was a kid on the South Side of Chicago hanging out at Normandy Park. Where did you find those pictures? I love them.
New York City in the 1940s! See all the photos here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2036932/New-York-City-photos-Charles-W-Cushman-reveal-1940s-life-Big-Apple.html — they are awesome! I would like to go back to Normandy Park in the 1960s too – to see a young Annie G and Ray!
We have quite a nice collection of photos from Chicago in the 60’s. We should get them blown up and treated so they look professional and then hang them!
Yesssssss! Add this to the list, pleaseeeee.
Spot on with this write-up, I actually suppose this website needs much more consideration. I?ll probably be once more to learn far more, thanks for that info.
