Weekend in photos

The weekend started off like this. Almost three hours to get home. No joke.

But it made for some serious fun at Northerly Island’s Polar Adventure Days.

These pups were super friendly.

But I seriously could barely get in there. People hogging all over and not sharing=not cool.

This pup, though, is my fave!

Lookin’ pretty fine.

Loyal pups

Although I just recently posted about my excitement for Frasier’s likely visit tomorrow, I can never get enough pooch time. So when I stumbled across this series about seven incredibly loyal dogs, I was smitten.
You must read it.

Come fly away

This evening my cousin and I attended Come Fly Away at the Bank of America Theatre downtown. With classic Frank Sinatra music, awesome dancing and a seriously strange cab driver, it was a good night.

A pooch visit

I’m excited that Frasier may come to visit this Friday, and in addition to taking long walks to tire him out before bed and possibly an early morning ride to Dunkin Donuts so he doesn’t feel too out of sorts, I’ll be lusting after some quality pet gear.

How great is this dual dog water bottle and bowl?

And if I wanted to be obnoxious, this awesome plaid jacket. Hey, pups get cold too.

See more great gear here.

Pizza, pizza

Even though I’ve lived in the Chicago area my entire life (minus four and a half years in Madison), I have never been a pizza connoisseur who relishes deep dish. In fact, sometimes all I crave is Domino’s or Papa John’s. On Saturday, however, I tried the pizza at Piccolo Sogno on Halsted Street. It reminded me of pizza in Italy: delicious and authentic.
