Life with two pups

After several people showed interest in Millie (who we were fostering through One Tail at a Time), I found that instead of being happy to see her find a new home, I was feeling seriously bummed that she would be leaving. And I think Josh felt the same way.

Our biggest concern though was making sure Chick would be okay with having a another pup around. She has always been a loner and never shows too much interest in other dogs. After Millie was spayed we saw the tension between the two dissipate and while they aren’t playmates, they are respectful of each other (save for when Millie interrupts Chick on “her” pillow on the couch. We all have our limits).

While it has been a little more work adjusting to walking two pups and getting them out the door (oh how I long for a house with a door to the backyard), it’s also been a lot of fun having two:)

  1. Glad things are working out well. I’m right there with the backyard wish. One day!
