Looking for Alaska

A few days ago I started a new book and I can’t get enough of it. Looking for Alaska by John Green is another young adult book (a few weeks ago I read this YA book) and I’m loving it. The book is the winner of multiple awards, including the Michael L. Printz Award, and it’s also an LA Times Book Prize finalist.

I’m not sure what it is about YA books that has me so intrigued lately, but I have a feeling it’s something to do with the fact that they’re usually a quick and easy read, but still juicy enough to keep me wanting more. As Groucho Marx once said, “Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend.” He also said “inside of a dog it’s too dark to read,” but whatever, I’m entitled to agree. About the friend part at least. Check out Looking for Alaska on Amazon here.
