Don’t you want to be a part of Marathon Mutts? Marathon Mutts pledge to train and participate in their choice of race, run, walk, swim or ride and all proceeds go back to One Tail at a Time … pretty neat right? Our awesome board member, Kelly, manages this program and a few weeks ago she gifted me with this awesome doggy tee for Chick (namely because it was a bit tight on her own dog:). Chick was not a huge fan of it (as is the case with most clothes), but she sure gave us a laugh. I don’t think she’ll be running marathons any time soon though:)

Happy Almost Friday
It has been a rough few weeks around here after we found out my dad had to have emergency knee surgery to combat an infection, but we’re all safe and on the mend. And little Chick has been giving us quite the laugh when we need it most.
Where Chick gets a new sweater and climbs on top of the coffee table
Chick and I received a surprise package in the mail over the weekend, and it turned out to be a brand new Snoopy sweater. My love of Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang knows no bounds so to say I was excited is a bit of an understatement.
A few days later though, Chick had grown tired of the sweater and instead reached a new level of begging. She decided to crawl across our legs and onto the coffee table, where she promptly stole a mouthful of green beans. I was laughing too hard to do anything about it.

Where I’ve been. Part 1

[Now that it’s warm out, lunches outside are a must.]
The past two months have flown by. I guess starting a new job will do that to you. My days have been filled with early morning runs and walks with Chick, just in time to jam myself onto a packed El car and ride downtown to work. I swear it feels like we’re all sheep being herded to and fro. But I’m not complaining because I’m into the Loop in 15 minutes, with a 10 minute walk to my building. Things could be worse.
So far I have nothing but good things to share about this new job. And luckily for me, I’m also still doing a bit of freelance work for the old place, which however, does mean less time here on this space. But here are a few snapshots of life lately.
You can’t tell by today’s gray skies and cool temps, but it’s finally starting to get warm, which means Chick has been enjoying some sun.
Warmer temps also mean the start of bike riding season for me, as I am a fair weather friend and only ride when temps allow. Over the weekend I kicked it off with a ride down Lake Shore Drive with my dad.
